Rick Scott: Screwing Florida Since 1997

Florida’s governor, Rick Scott, has always been a busy man. It took a lot of work, while he was CEO of Columbia/HCA, to screw taxpayers out of millions of dollars resulting from crooked Medicare billing practises. But, being the shameless and active guy he is, he figured that once the company ultimately admitted to fourteen felonies and agreed to coughed up $600 million to  the federal government, becoming a vulture venture capitalist then running for governor was the next likely step in his career. So what has Slick Rick done for Florida? Well, other than seek drug screenings of both government employees and needy families in need of temporary assistance; reject federal funds for a high-speed rail project; and battle against redistricting when it didn’t benefit his party, Mr. Scott has done….well, not a whole lot, if anything, to help Florida — unless you count his attempts to purge voters from the rolls, at least those who are likely to vote Democrat in the upcoming presidential election.
