Watch Where You Throw Your Money…

We all grew-up tossing coins into the ubiquitous Salvation Army kettles around Christmas time and shoving our old clothes into their boxes. They rang their bells and cheered us with their brass ensembles, but what does The Salvation Army do with the money we give them and the profits they make from their various enterprises, such as their surplus used clothing business?

What do they do with this money, and their enormous staff of paid- and volunteer workers? They do, indeed, operate some fine charities, but their main focus is, now, and always has been missionary work. Their main goal is to convert any and all they encounter, especially those benefiting from their charitable work, to their particular brand of Christianity. And this brand of Christianity condemns homosexuality and uses money from our donations to work against gay rights and gay marriage. So, if you believe in gay rights, watch where you throw your quarters.
