Tagg Romney — Bloodthirsty.

We’ve all read that Taggart Romney, whilst being interviewed on the radio, quipped that he’d like to take a swing at President Obama for claiming that his father, Mitt, lied when he, um, lied.

Tagg Romney — Bloodthirsty.

And we all know that Tagg will probably never get the chance, what with the Secret Service and all. But there is something he can do to throw a figurative punch — he could simply buy an electronic voting machine company and rig the vote in his father’s favor. Oh, wait. He did buy an electronic voting machine company. Specifically, via a complicated set of maneuvers, holding companies, shadow company and the like, the Romney family, including and especially Taggart, have bought a large interest in Hart Intercivic, an Austin, Texas company which makes voting machines that will be used this November 6th in Ohio, Texas, Oklahoma, Washington and Colorado.

What’s most troubling is that no one yet has offered for sale a truly tamper-proof electronic voting machine. Furthermore, all electronic voting machines in use in this country today are being manufactured by right-wing-controlled corporations. Finally, to make matters worse, the major networks have cut way back this year on exit polling which, in elections past, have proven their value as a way to detect significant fraud.

We’re hoping that, unlike the 2000 and 2004 Presidential elections, this will not be an issue that will raise its ugly head on November 7th. But if the Romney/Ryan ticket wins, this time I don’t believe we’ll just be willing to MoveOn.
