Revolution is defined as follows:
1. an overthrow or repudiation and the thorough replacement of an established government or political system by the people governed.
2. Sociology. A radical and pervasive change in society and the social structure, especially one made suddenly and often accompanied by violence.
3. A sudden, complete or marked change in something.
Change is challenging; many people say that they want change but aren’t necessarily prepared for all of the shifts in behaviour that must occur in order for the changes to ‘stick’. When people say that they are ready for swift and revolutionary change, have they considered what that really means?
Throughout any lifetime, change is the only constant. Watching all of these self-described anarchists and people who claim to be so tired of the way things are has made me wonder: are people truly ready for all of the things that take place when real change takes place? I don’t think so. I feel that if people were really ready for the changes they wouldn’t be so resistant to the events that must take place.
What are your thoughts?
