Meet Terry Jones. No, this is not Terence Graham Parry Jones of Monty Python fame, the Travelocity Terry Jones, the singer Terry Jones nor any of the numerous sports figure Terry Joneses. Rather, this is Pastor Terry Jones, The Man Who Burns Korans.
Were that not enough, it has recently come to light that this bogus reverend might well have been the partner of none other than Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, an unemployed Coptic Christian born in Egypt and now living in California. Nakoula, masquerading as “Sam Basile,” an Israeli Jew, apparently made Innocence of Muslims, a wretched Islamophobic film the trailers for which are at least partially responsible for anti-American riots all over the middle east this past week and for the death of Ambassador Christopher Stevens in Libya.
But what has Pastor Terry Jones to do with this? The answer is that he, along with Morris Sadek, a Coptic Christian lawyer practicing in Washington, DC, has been heavily promoting the film and might well have been instrumental in its creation.
We suppose Pastor Jones simply likes watching the world burn.
